Leslie Victor is an emerging artist in the field of fine and digital art photography living in Holland, Michigan. Her work is typically bold, colorful and contemporary, often with a minimal presentation. She enjoys capturing light and detail seen only through the eye of the lens and take advantage of opportunities as they present themselves. She doesn’t have a mission or a message. She loves to take pictures and edit them in an artistic way.
“…I don’t have a philosophy. I have a camera. I look into the camera and take pictures. My photographs are the tiniest part of what I see that could be photographed. They are fragments of endless possibilities….” – Saul Leiter
Leslie has lived most of her life while raising her family in West Michigan. In 2015, she began to pursue her lifelong interest in photography with the goal of taking her skills to the next level. It started with actually reading and learning from the user manual of her camera and a free editing software program. One upgrade later of both camera and software, along with the vast body of knowledge on the Internet and a love for the creative process that is fine art photography, she has, indeed, taken her photography to the next level.
And, yet, as she will tell you, there is still so much to learn.
Leslie is also a member of Lakeshore Visual Arts Collective. Her work has been selected in many juried competitions and she participated in ArtPrize 2018.
